Annual Howth Walk

Each year, the ZAIS Dublin office organizes a charitable event to raise funds for and awareness of cancer research. The event is held in memory of John O’Grady Walshe, one of the founders of ZAIS Group Investment Advisors in Dublin, and takes place in the scenic countryside of Howth, a village outside of Dublin. All proceeds of the walk are dedicated to a charity personally chosen by John, “The Oncology Research Fund”.

The Oncology Research Fund is part of St. James Hospital and is administered by the Houghton Institute. Their mission is to provide patient care, research and education for those afflicted with cancer. The donations from the Howth Walk have been specifically directed to help provide much-needed residential facilities for those patients and relatives who must travel to Dublin from out of town to receive their oncology treatments. This was an initiative close to John’s heart and is a fitting destination for the funds raised.
